Prof. Dr. Metin Özkan, born in 1962 in Sivas, completed his medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Academy. Dr. Özkan received his Pulmonology specialty training between 1990-1994 and was appointed as Professor in 2009.
Between 1999-2000, he worked as a research fellow at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the USA, gaining international experience. Throughout his academic career, he was awarded the TUBITAK Scientific Publications Incentive Award twice, and has published more than 30 articles in international journals and numerous articles in national journals.
He has been serving as a Pulmonologist at Memorial Ankara Hospital since 2013. Dr. Özkan is a member of ATS (American Thoracic Society) and ERS (European Respiratory Society), and specializes in COPD, asthma, lung cancer, pulmonary embolism, and sleep apnea.
